In each of these ads
we find one or more photos of the 1967 Shelby G.T. 500
Convertible after it was repurposed and updated with the
'68-styled fiberglass components supplied by A.O. Smith.
Carroll Shelby has gone and done it!

Appeared simultaneously in the November 1967 issues
of Road & Track

(inside front cover),
and in Playboy magazine. Being the November
issues, readers would have received their copies in
October 1967.
The '67

Print Ad
Based on
the unique width of the roll bar on the convertible,
and the fact that the '67 convertible was painted
Acapulco Blue when found in 1976, it is possible that this ad also features the '67
convertible.
We believe that
the Acapulco Blue fastback that appears in this
video is car #0463. This was a January-built '67 Shelby G.T. 500
4-speed that also received '68-styled fiberglass for
its brief modeling career.
Only Mustang and Carroll
Shelby could make this happen!

The red
convertible in the top photo appears to be a production '68 model
year car, however, we believe that the rear view of
convertible in the middle of the page is the 1967
car, #0139.
